Your Mission

As Junior Portfolio Manager, you are managing and optimizing a key set of lines within our portfolio. Your primary mission will be to ensure profitability throughout the lifecycle of each line, driving pricing strategies, signing off on business cases, and implementing structural actions to maintain and grow financial performance.

  • Build and maintain business cases for assigned lines that serve as base to set gross margin targets
  • Define the price frames (list, target, floor price) for the assigned lines and products.
  • Sign-off final BUCA and validate pricing and contract rules in SF and towards internal approval boards.
  • Integrate new lines in FCST and update FCST on full portfolio every quarter
  • Collaborate effectively with different departments and drive cross-functional initiatives; essentially with KAMs, Service management, Network Design and Operations (LTPL/STPL)
  • All above activities serve the following goals:
    • Enable the sales team to negotiate and win profitable business
    • Secure margin goals for Lineas
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks for Lineas
    • Align price setting with contract conditions
    • Reflect market conditions and benchmarks
    • Maintain pricing frames (including discount) in Sales Force
    • Be responsive to customer requirements

The Portfolio manager captures insights on the operational and financial performance on all lines in his/her portfolio   and reports to all stakeholders in every stage of the product lifecycle.


Portfolio Management
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive business cases to set gross margin targets for assigned lines.
  • Define pricing frameworks including list prices, target prices, and floor prices for products and lines.
  • Manage and forecast the revenue budget for the portfolio, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Collaborate across departments, working closely with KAMs, Service Management, Network Design, and Operations to drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Analyse operational and financial performance data for all lines, providing insights and reports to stakeholders at each stage of the product lifecycle.
  • Identify new opportunities based on network contribution, productivity, and potential for financial gains.
  • Guide project pipelines to enhance resource productivity and financial contribution.
  • Cooperate with engineering and sales managers to incorporate accurate costing and pricing into the business case tool.
  • Support sales negotiations to secure profitable deals and mitigate potential risks.
  • Justify decisions and proposals for operational and commercial optimizations to stakeholders.
Your profile
  • You have a master in logistics management, economics / business management, operation research, science or similar or an equivalent through experience
  • You speak English fluently, and Dutch or French, with a good understanding of the second language.
  • You work purposefully and efficiently and take pro-active steps to reach your professional goals
  • You perform well under time pressure and are flexible
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to clearly explain and structure complex topics in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to use (semi-)complex IT systems and to adapt and use new IT-based processes (=> willingness to constantly learn and develop is key)
  • Commercial system and work flow (Sales Force, CPQ , Control Tower) is a plus
  • Microsoft Office, focus on Excel
